CONACADO is a private entity in the DR directly supports small producers of cocoa. It is an organization of third floor comprises over 8850 small producers associations grouped into seven blocks (second-tier entities) comprising more than 140 farmers' associations distributed in the cocoa areas nationwide. Blocks are the channel of communication between producers and cognac. The main functions of CONACADO are: (i) market cocoa Blocks mustered into international markets, (ii) providing agricultural technical assistance services, and (iii) provide financial services to its members. CONACADO brings both traditional and cocoa producing organic cocoa.
